This webinar focuses on the fundamental light-tissue interactions enabling low-dose lasers for Photobiomodulation (PBM) therapy, also known as Low-Level Light/Laser Therapy. The role of PBM as a non-surgical and non-thermal application of lasers to alleviate pain or inflammation, modulate immune responses, and promote tissue healing and regeneration will be described. Our current understanding of its discrete mechanisms, clinical delivery approaches, and potential utility in clinical dentistry will be elaborated.
